Step 1: Getting to Bad Bevensen train station from the Berlin, Hamburg and Hannover airports

From the Berlin Tegel Airport
From the Berlin Tegel Airport, take the TXL bus (which goes to S+U Alexanderplatz) as far as Berlin Central Station. The buses leaves every six minutes. The journey takes about 20 minutes.

From Berlin Central Station, there are hourly train connections to Bad Bevensen; however these connections are not direct. One can either then go to Hamburg Central Station and then take the regional train (Metronome), or another connection is possible by changing twice, at Stendal and Uelzen. From the Berlin Schönefeld Airport
From the Berlin Schönefeld Airport, take the S-9 train (which goes to S+U Pankow) till Berlin Ostkreuz. Then change to the S-7 train (which goes to Potsdam Central Station) and go to Berlin Central Station. The journey takes about 40-45 minutes.

From Berlin Central Station, there are hourly train connections to Bad Bevensen; however these connections are not direct. From the Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel airport, take the S-1 train (which goes to Blankenese or Wedel) to Hamburg Central Station. This train leaves every 10 minutes. The journey lasts about 25 minutes.

From Hamburg Central Station regional trains leave every hour directly to Bad Bevensen (in the direction of Uelzen). Bad Bevensen is the penultimate station. The journey lasts about 50 minutes. From Hamburg Central Station
From Hamburg Central Station regional trains leave every hour directly to Bad Bevensen (in the direction of Uelzen). Bad Bevensen is the penultimate station. The journey lasts about 50 minutes. From the Hannover Airport
From the Hannover Airport, take the S-5 or S-1 train to Hannover Central Station. These trains leave every 30 minutes. The journey lasts about 17 minutes. Alternatively, one can take the 470 bus to the Hannover Stöcken bus stop, then change to the U-1 metro (in the direction of Sarstedt) and go as far as the Central Station. The journey lasts about 40 minutes.

Regional Trains leave Hannover Central Station to Bad Bevensen. Trains are either direct or via a change in Uelzen. Depending on the connections, the journey lasts between 50 and 90 minutes. From the Hannover Central Station

Step 2: Getting from the Bad Bevensen train station to the Gustav Stresemann Institute

Getting to the Gustav Stresemann Institute from the Bad Bevensen train station will take you about 20 minutes by foot.  Alternatively, one can take a taxi.  The journey lasts about 5 minutes and costs about 8 Euros.  Should you wish to go via taxi, it is recommended that you book a taxi by phone about an hour before you arrive in Bad Bevensen, at 0049 5821 10 10 or 0049 5821 25 26.
