Getting to Bad Bevensen

Step 1: Getting to Bad Bevensen train station from the Berlin, Hamburg and Hannover airports

From the Berlin Tegel Airport
From the Berlin Tegel Airport, take the TXL bus (which goes to S+U Alexanderplatz) as far as Berlin Central Station.  The buses leaves every six minutes.  The journey takes about 20 minutes.

From Berlin Central Station, there are hourly train connections to Bad Bevensen; however these connections are not direct.  One can either then go to Hamburg Central Station and then take the regional train (Metronome), or another connection is possible by changing twice, at Stendal and Uelzen.  The journey takes about 3 hours.  One can get train times and buy tickets on the English pages of German Railways: http://www.deutschebahn.com/en/start/

Step 2: Getting from the Bad Bevensen train station to the Gustav Stresemann Institute

Getting to the Gustav Stresemann Institute from the Bad Bevensen train station will take you about 20 minutes by foot.  Alternatively, one can take a taxi.  The journey lasts about 5 minutes and costs about 8 Euros.  Should you wish to go via taxi, it is recommended that you book a taxi by phone about an hour before you arrive in Bad Bevensen, at 0049 5821 10 10 or 0049 5821 25 26.
