"Living diversity, solving conflicts and creating an inclusive Europe" – this is the title of the 10-days train-the-trainer-seminar, to which 35 multipliers of youth work from Croatia, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Poland and Romania are expected in the Gustav Stresemann Institute (GSI) in Bad Bevensen. The aim of the project is to use the learning effects of international exchange for dealing with the challenges of the living together and mutual understanding in modern societies shaped from a variety of different living conditions, milieus and lifestyles. The participating multipliers shall be sensitized for the processes of marginalization and discrimination in Europe and get to know concepts to overcome them. Moreover they become further certified for the implementation and facilitation of international youth-exchange projects.

NGOs from 7 countries are partners in the project, with an additional set of migrants’ and minority (self-)organisations as stakeholders. Intercultural dialogue and systematic networking between the participants and their institutions will be strongly supported by this project. So that on long-term the opportunities for young members of ethnic minorities to take part in European youth exchanges will be widened - a contribution to an 'inclusive' Europe.

The multipliers, who participate in the project, will especially be enabled to develop together joint youth exchange projects, which promote the competences of young people (of different ethnic communities), which they need for participation in democracy. Therefore, good practice examples, methods and theory of inter- and trans-cultural learning, knowledge of guidelines for EU-funding are provided as well as international contacts. Last not least time and space for joint project planning are made available.
